Round Table Children's Wish 30th

Community

In October 2020, Round Table Children’s Wish marked 30 years of granting ‘handcrafted’ wishes to children with life threatening illnesses.

Starting in Bournemouth in 1988, the charity has been delivering wishes ever since to children from all over the United Kingdom such as to a young lady from Scotland, who spent time with the Pandas at Edinburgh Zoo; to a little lad in in the Brecon Beacons who wished for a special playhouse in his garden and other wishes such as spending a day with the army riding, around in tanks and a young lady fulfilling her dream to sing with Leona Lewis. Over the 30 years, the wish that is remains the most popular is that magical trip to Disney, meeting favourite characters, having breakfast with Mickey Mouse and being given the VIP treatment throughout the visit.

As a charity we pride ourselves on being all about ‘family’. Working with Tangent is special as it is about working together, across the ‘4 Club’ Family, along with 41 Club, Round Table and Ladies Circle. RTCW is here because of that family and we can only say a big thank you, on behalf of all those children over the years, who have had a wish and will not necessarily know it’s because of people like yourselves, who have made their wishes a reality. So, on behalf of the children and all at RTCW, a huge thank you to everyone, as by supporting us as a small charity, you have made a BIG DIFFERENCE!
